To save on printing costs and lessen its environmental impact, American Eagle needed an alternative to the 35,000 copies of its quarterly internal magazine, which was distributed to stores nationwide. Chemistry answered the call by creating an "e-zine" - a digital layout system that utilized page templates designed by the agency but that could be easily populated with new content by AE's internal staff for each issue. Available via the web, store associates entered a password and could experience the magazine online. For those who actually wanted a printed version, the system allowed for a high resolution pdf to be printed directly.

In any given week, hundreds of new employees can join a company the size of American Eagle Outfitters. As part of the "onboarding" process, the retailer came to Chemistry in search of a unique way to tell the story of the company's heritage and continued expansion. The solution was an "interactive timeline" that took the new employee down the road of American Eagle's past, allowing them to stop along the way to interact with brief stories, and to learn how the company that had started with just a single store grew to have a global reach.
